Question:
Why must I call the toll-free number and listen to a recording?

Answer:
The recorded message will provide you with last minute reporting instructions or changes in the court schedule. The instructions will tell you if you are supposed to report for jury duty on the next working day, or when you should call in again.
IT IS MOST IMPORTANT THAT YOU CALL THE RECORDED MESSAGE WHEN SCHEDULED (SEE THE SUMMONS). The Court uses a telephone recording to schedule jurors in order to avoid wasting a prospective juror's time with an unnecessary trip to the courthouse. This same procedure will continue for the entire three days you are "on call" for jury service.

* You may also check your reporting instructions by using eResponse.
