HONORABLE JUDGE MICHAEL KRUMHOLTZ
Judge Krumholtz was elected to the General Division bench in 2012, taking office on January 5, 2013. He currently serves on the Appointments Committee Chair and also serves on the Civil Practice and Security Committees. He received his B.A. degree from Denison University in 1976 and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1979.
Before being elected to the General Division bench, Judge Krumholtz was in the private practice of law for over 30 years with the Dayton firm of Bieser, Greer & Landis. Prior to that, he worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, for two years, at the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office.
In 2001, Judge Krumholtz received the Eugene R. Weir Award for Ethics and Professionalism from the Ohio State Bar Association. He was listed in Best Lawyers in America, 2003 and 2012 Editions, and as an Ohio Super Lawyer from 2004 to 2012. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers since 2007, and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Judge Krumholtz is a Trustee for the Building Bridges Board and was a Trustee of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys.
Judge Krumholtz is a member of the Dayton Bar Association, serving as its President from 2007 to 2008. In addition, he has served on the DBA's Committee on Professional Ethics for 19 years.
