HONORABLE FRANCES E. McGEE
Judge McGee was appointed General Division Judge in 2007. She serves as the Security Committee Chair, and serves on the Appointments, Criminal Practice, and Jury Management Committees.
Judge McGee received her B.A. from Howard University in 1978 and her J.D. from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1981.
From 1981-1983, Judge McGee worked in the legal department of the former Winters National Bank, now known as Chase Bank. From 1983-2007, she was employed by the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office. As a career prosecutor, she served in the Intake, Juvenile, Criminal, Civil and Criminal Non-Support Divisions. She prosecuted all types of crimes including high-profile homicide, rape, drug and theft cases. She has tried more than 100 jury trials.
Judge McGee is a certified instructor for the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy and is an instructor for the Corrections Academy located at Sinclair Community College.
Judge McGee is a life member of the Girl Scouts and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a member of the Southern Ohio Lay Leadership Initiative (SOLLI), Wright Writers, the Gourmet Cooking Club, the NAACP, and Carrousels, Inc.
